Growing up, she lived in several places owing to her father’s job.
Her role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin won her numerous accolades including Apsara Awards for “Best Actress in Drama Series” and “Outstanding Debut”, Indian Telly Awards for “Television Personality of The Year (Female)” and “Best Actress (Female)”, and Indian Television Academy Award for “Best Actress (Popular)”.
In 2009, Mona Singh made her theatrical film debut by playing the role of Mona Sahastrabuddhe, Pia’s elder sister and Virus’s first daughter, in the Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film, 3 Idiots, starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Boman Irani, and Omi Vaidya. The film is one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
She was cast as Preet in the romantic drama show, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, from 2015 to 2016 and this role won her the 2016 Lions Gold Award for “Best TV Actress”.
